How can i be a better singer?

Like, I sing all the time. A lot of the time, i don't even realize i'm doing it. I just love singing, but i'm not very good at it. I used to be in chorus, but i'm not anymore, i had to drop the class. Also, i kind of hav a nasally voice too. How can i get better without taking lessons?
